The Car culture meet returned earlier this month at West Ave. with an amazing turnout. For some reason, I forgot the meet the started at 9 am and thought I was running late arriving around 8:30 am. I found a good parking spot in the camera and made my way to the strip of the shopping center where the cars would be placed on display, it was partially filled with more cars arriving every few minutes.
I waited a while and chatted with a few friends before beginning my coverage of the event. A little after starting time, I began walking around and snapping away of the rides and the people at the event. It was great seeing how everyone enjoyed the rides that were out here. I started on the south end of the venue and worked my way around. LAter I ventured up to the second floor of the center to capture some photos from above.
I continued walking snapping photos around until it was time for me to leave, which was only an hour into the meet as I had to get ready to leave for Austin shortly after. This month the weather was much more favorable with the rain staying away. Thus yielding a much bigger turn out than the previous one. I sure it continued with more people arrive after I left but I was glad I was able to make it for a bit. This month’s event was also a charity school supplies drive benefiting Houston Children’s Charites.
