After taking a holiday break, it’s time to get to coverages that I had sitting on my memory cards. Back in December just before the holidays, I headed out to West Avenue to check out The Car Culture’s last event for the year.
I arrived shortly after the event had begun, parking below the shopping center in the parking garage. Plenty of rides and people already filled the strip this chilly morning all to come out and be about of this event. It wasn’t anything crazy temperature wise, but it was cold enough for me. I had my hoodie on as I walked around occasionally with a bit of a shiver.. it didn’t last the entire duration of my stay.
I walked around capturing shots of the modified and exotics rides that made it out here and chatted with some familiar faces when I took some breaks between shooting. As the event progressed, more rides along with more people arrived. Amongst all the cars, there was an ever-growing collection of toys for the toy drive. The toy drive collection went to Texas Children’s Hospital where the Car Culture crew were able to drop off a good amount of gifts just before the holidays to light up some smiles. A great way to wrap up the year for this event.
