Earlier this month, I headed back to Market Street for the monthly gathering of cars for the Cars and Coffee for a Cause event hosted by The Woodlands Car Club. I didn’t get up earlier enough to bring out my ride and get a good parking spot so I just grabbed my wife’s car and headed there. My ride was dirty anyway and need to be cleaned. As expected, when I arrived at Market Street it was pretty full with cars everywhere.
I grabbed my camera and started taking photos in the back section in front of HEB and worked my way down to the entrance of the display area. I continued walking around and checking out all the amazing rides that came out. There were a lot more rides and people for that matter than I expected with the summer heat. It was a great turnout! I was ecstatic to see so many nice rides out here, of course, there are a few usual suspects but there was a good amount of new rides as well.
I continued my routine of snapping photos of the rides throughout the venue until I captured a photo of each ride that was still present at that time. Once I was done, I continued to walk around to snap more photos along with capture some of the interaction amongst the people there. I loved seeing families bond over the rides or seeing new connections being made over the same passions. With it being pretty hot, I didn’t stick around until the end and left a bit early.
This months collection was for FAITH Fighting Cancer in Montgomery County. If you didn’t know, when you arrive to park your vehicle to be on display, the staff ask for a donation in any amount to go towards their quarterly contributions. FAITH is completely run by volunteers with the mission to provide emotional and/or financial support for cancer patients and families as well as assist in educational and preventative care programs in Montgomery County and surrounding areas. If you plan on bringing your ride out to show it off, all they ask is to make a contribution. This gathering takes place on the first Sunday of each month, see you at the next one!
