The Woodlands Car Club returns to it’s regularly scheduled monthly gathering on Market Street this month. January was was pushed back which I ended up missing, but I made it out for this month’s event. It was a cloudy Sunday morning, but people still main their way out to Market Street to participate in this event. Cloudy skies make for great photos, so as soon as my son and I was ready, we made my way up to the Woodlands to join.
The turnout was pretty good, several cars lined up on both sides of the shopping center ready for display. I walked around and first thing I notice was the new Bentley Super Sport on display, with a few of their other rides next to it. This was a pretty rare sight, so I took a few extra photos of it as well as checked it out. I continued checking out the other rides, the late ’60s mustangs and the Aventador Spyder also caught my eye. My son was busy keeping out the Tesla while the owner was showing the self parking feature of the car, my son loved it and proclaims that’s the car he wants. We continues checking out the various rides and made our way to the other side of the street to see what else was still here as a few of them already vacated. We stayed for a few hours before heading back home for a late breakfast, a great morning to start off the day.
For the first quarter of 2017, the contributions collected during the event will go towards the Assistance League of Montgomery County. This is a multiple-tier scholarship program which assists graduating high school seniors, adults working towards certification in a health field, special needs individuals who would benefit from the equine therapy, and adults needing to return to college to improve their quality of life.
