Every month there’s a few meets I try to attend on the regular, as long as I am in town that is. One of them is Cars and Coffee for a Cause hosted by The Woodlands Car Club. This gathering of various cars happens on the first Sunday of each month on Market Street in the Woodlands, which doesn’t happen to be too far away for myself.
With my car having been washed the day before, I decided to get up semi-early and drive to Market Street with hopes to put my Veloster in the display area. Thankfully I arrived in time to park my ride in the area closer to HEB, there were several spots there but the main area was already full. I parked my ride and began walking around to check out all the rides that made it this month.
Each month there is a good amount of rides on display featuring mostly classic and muscle, both old and new. There’s usually a few exotics, imports, and motorcycles as well, this month’s showing was no different, but it’s not always the exact same cars which is what I like. The turnout was also great as the whole strip was packed with cars. I began walking around snapping photos of the rides that were here. Once I was done, I decided to test out my drone and have a few passes, well that was the plan anyways. I was able to do a few passes, but the battery wasn’t fully charged so I wasn’t able to fly around for long. I thought I brought the extra batteries along for the trip but ultimately I didn’t, so I proceed to hold the drone and walk around to get a bit more footage. I still have yet to see it it’s enough to make a clip from the event.
Once I was done walking around with the drone, I made another trip through Market Street with the camera taking more photos. I did end up hanging around the BAC Mono that was parked up front by Starbucks and took some extra photos around it. The morning was warming up fast, so I didn’t stay too much longer after that, and returned home before ending time.
Not only is this a great chance to see some amazing rides and hang out with fellow car enthusiasts, each quarter a collection is made from the The Woodlands Car Club to go towards a local charity. If you plan on parking your car in the display area, a donation of any amount is collection as the entry fee. This quarter’s collection went to benefit Inspiration Ranch which pairs special needs people and horses to help those individuals.
