With the recent string of rainy weather lately, I have been wanting to head out to a car event. I know I wasn’t the only one waiting for better weather to head out to an event. Thankfully when I woke up this morning, it looked like the rain had already past us for the morning. I headed out to Market Street in the Woodlands for the monthly gathering hosted there by The Woodlands Car Club.
The event had just started when I arrived, with lots of rides already set up for our viewing pleasure. I began walking around taking my coverage as usual. I did miss the past few gatherings, but it looked things were the same for the most part. This time around, there was definitely a larger crowd of Mopars at the event. Usually there’s a group of mustangs and Camaros, but I guess the Camaro group didn’t make it out this time. Don’t worry, there’s a mixture of other vehicles out in attendance in these event, a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy. There were some other rides making their appearance out on Market St for their first time.
For the most part it was cloudy, which was great. The sun did peak out a few times during the event, but overall the weather was great. I continued walking around trying to get a photo of each vehicle that made it out here. At 9 am, there was a special presentation for the crowd, which tied in to this quarters collection.
Second quarter collections are going to the United States Veterans Initiative, which is the nation’s largest nonprofit provider of comprehensive series to homeless and at-risk vets. Next month, come out and enjoy the rides while giving back to the community and donate to the collection at the event. Hosted on the first Sunday of each month, see you there!
