Eat, Sleep, Car Meet #36

Recently we returned to Firehouse Subs in Katy for Eat, Sleep, Car Meet #36 that was hosted there. This marked their 4th Annual Toy Drive, with the collection of gifts going to the children at Texas Children’s Cancer Center. I arrived early to set up our booth at the meet and to clean up my ride a bit from the drive here. After that was done I did do a quick video right as the meet was starting.

Don’t worry, it filled up quick. I made a few attempts to leave the booth to snap some photos of the rides that were out here. With the large crowds and cars constantly coming in and driving through, I returned to the booth shortly after trying. After some time had passed I finally was able to capture photos of the VIP cars that were in the front with hopes to return to capture more photos after the mannequin challenge video we were recording later that evening.   Everything was going good as we set up and tested a few shots before it was time. After a few announcements from DJ Demo, the crowd was up front and ready to film.

That’s when things turned on us as a cold front blew in as soon as we pressed the record button, with some gusty winds as well.  Andrew and I made two passes through the crowd for the video, unfortunately some of the crowd were still moving in the shots so the video is trimmed down a bit. I will see if I can edit a longer version to be released later with more footage, cross your fingers! As I stated before, I was hoping to return to taking some more photos as the end of the meet was approaching, but the weather had different plans. As soon as we were done, mother nature kicked it up a notch with stronger winds and some rain. The rain intensity picked up fast too, as I was helping to tear down out booth, it was growing stronger and stronger. This ended the meet as everyone rushed to get out. Regardless, another great meet with tons of rides out here, I promise for the next one I will venture out more to snap more photos. Good buddy of mine, Brian Huy Nguyen snapped a few photos as well, check them out below.
