Saturday, October 21, I headed down to Sugarland to attend October’s Eat, Sleep, Car Meet held at The Teahouse Tapioca and Tea for meet number 43. Yep, it’s been that many already, but as I missed some of the recent meets at this location, I made sure to come out and provide coverage once again.
I arrived to the meet a little after starting time, parked my ride and proceeded to walk around a bit before pulling out the camera to snap photos. I chatted with a few people and grabs a slushie with tapioca to pass the time. After a while, I finally grabbed my tripod and camera and took some photos of the cars in the front row. It wasn’t long until I ditched the tripod and went freehand.
I continued row by row snapping photos with an occasional break to get the update on the Astros game. Okashi Snack Truck was playing the game on their mobile devices so I kept going back to get the update. DJ Mik One was also on the tables giving periodic updates over the microphone as well. I continued the night repeating that over and over as I checked out the rides. We had a few new rides out here as well, traveling out of state for a car show held earlier in the day. It was another good meet that had an even better ending for local baseball fans with the announcement that the Astros won and are heading to the World Series.
At each meet, there’s a collection to help benefit different organizations and this month being breast cancer awareness month, the collection went towards that as well. Usually, these meets are held once a month, so stay tuned for the next one!
