If you are looking for the best gathering of amazing vehicles, this is one of the ones on the top of the list. Houston Coffee and Cars was started a few years back with the goal to bring together automotive enthusiasts who own and drive rare machines who wished to share their passion with others, while enjoying a cup of coffee. Since the start with a few members from the Ferrari and Lamborghini clubs, it has since grown into the massive collection of vehicles from classics, to imports, exotics, domestics, bikes, and trucks.
The event is held off Highway 249 and Louetta in the Vintage Park shopping center on the first Saturday of every month. Here you can find Starbucks along with some other restaurants open for business if you need to grab a bite to eat or a drink to enjoy. Just make sure you come out here early if you want to get a good parking spot. Even though the official time for the meet is form 8 am to 10 am, seems like most of the participants show up as early as 5:30 and they start leaving around 8:30 to 9 am. There are still several rides still left to view up to 10 am if you don’t show up until later, but you end up missing a lot of rides.
Each month at the gathering there’s a couple of rides on display in the center of Vintage Park. For this month, we were graced with the 2013 SRT Viper GTS test mule car straight from Detroit. This car definitely had the attention of many enthusiasts here, there was a constant crowd around the car. Special thanks to Tomball SRT for making this special appearance happen.
This month’s gathering had a lot better weather than the previous meet, which was rained on. The turn out this month had to be the biggest one yet, with the front, sides, and in between building all filled with now the back areas filling up as well. Many people come out with their families and friends, some even with their pets, to enjoy the amazing collection of some of the finest machines ever made. If there is only one meet you can attend per month, this is probably the best one to choose.
