Last month, I headed out to Memorial City mall for the second gathering held there for the Houston Coffee & Cars event. Their first month at the new venue was greeted with some rain. I was in route out there but after chatting with a friend on how it was bad the rain was closer to the area, I turned around and stayed home. Afterwards I saw the photos of the event seeing that it wasn’t that bad, I should have gone out. With that, I made sure to not miss their second event.
I arrived close to 8 am starting time with a lot of rides already set there. Many come early to get good parking but I like to get some sleep in the mornings. I still have to wake up early to make the drive. After parking my ride, I began my coverage. With the sea of vehicles, I knew I wouldn’t be able to capture all the rides there. I took photos of the rides that I liked or grabbed my attention in some way.
I walked around the far right display area for a while and then made my way to the center main display area. I knew there was a lot of people out here, but the main area had even more people walking around. I tried to make my way around to snap photos finding myself waiting a bit for a clear shot. After some time past, especially with the heat, I grew tired of waiting and decided to shoot some live video of what was out here.
I ran into a good friend, Michael Duong, which he was able to take the camera around for some more live video action while I tried to snap some more photos of a few rides. After a while, I grabbed my live feed camera back and I headed towards the exit to see the rides leave. This was another amazing event hosted by Scuderia Society. If you missed out, there will be back at Memorial City Mall on the first Saturday of each month for now. See you out there.
