This past weekend, I ventured back out to Market St to attend the monthly Cars & Coffee for a Cause gathering hosted by The Woodlands Car Club. For the past few months, they haven’t had the best of luck with weather for their events. Last month’s weather was great but the ones before that were all cold and wet. I saw the host the day before at a car show and asked about the meet, it was a go rain or shine with WinANewMustang.com coming out to show off the new mustang that was being raffled off. The weather forecast wasn’t looking that great for this one either, but it hadn’t started raining by the time I left home so I went ahead with my family to the Woodlands.
It was a bit colder than I was expecting it to be, I grabbed a hoodie but wished I grabbed my jacket instead. Upon arriving, it looked like it would be clear of rain for a while, so I grabbed my gear while my family headed to Starbucks to grab their breakfast. The turnout wasn’t the best, but some very nice rides still made it out here. Usually the back section is filled with the local H-Town Camaro Club, even with past rainy event they usually made their way here… this time there were none in view. The Northside Mustangs did have a few of their rides out with some other participates.
Overall I enjoyed the turnout, this is a great family friendly event where you can see a good variety of rides out here. It’s not overwhelming either, just enough to fill Market St. completely, on a good day that is. Besides coming out to view some awesome rides, part of this gathering to benefit the local charities in the community. Each quarters donations are collected and given to the selected charity, this month’s went to the second quarters group Education for Tomorrow Alliance. If you want to park in the show area, just donate whatever you can to their collection to gain entrance. See you guys out there next month, hopefully the weather will be more cooperative.
