For The Woodlands Car Club’s first Cars & Coffee gathering this year, the weather was not exactly on their side. It was pretty cold and wet outside, pretty ugly weather for a car gathering. That didn’t stop some from going to Market Street in the Woodlands to be a part of this month’s gathering, including myself.
The turn out was probably less than half of what usually comes out, but the ones that did had some great rides. I made my way to the center to start taking my pictures. Only a few there so I made my way through as fast as I could so I could warm up inside the Starbucks.
I made my way over to the other area where local car club H-Town Camaros usually over takes. Even with the weather, they had a good turn out with fellow members filling up the spots. The club asked for a few group shots, and since there wasn’t much out here I was grateful to take some for them.
On my way back to the entrance of the gathering, I notice the owners of the Chrysler 300 unveiled what he was towing behind him. A few people there started a game of billiards, it was a pretty nice set up. After a while I decided to call it in and head out, with the looks of it, there weren’t any more rides coming. Either was, it was a pretty decent turn out considering the weather. Hopefully the rest of the year, the weather is a lot better.
TWCC Cars and Coffee for a Cause happens the first Sunday of every month, and is also a charity event. This quarter’s collections will go directly to Montgomery County Search & Rescue. Their mission is to serve our community by assisting law enforcement in a coordinated effort to search, find and rescue people in distress in the most efficient way possible.
