I’m sure most of you know or have heard about Houston Coffee and Cars as it’s one of Houston’s largest car gathering, but have your heard of their Velocita event? “Velocita Exotics on Market Street” is there latest series of monthly meets held up north in the Woodlands on Market Street with a small gathering of exotics, European, classics and other rare and unique cars on display for the duration of the gathering. Scuderia takes us back to the roots of Houston Coffee and Cars for this event, I remember the early days being just like this at Uptown Park.
At first I wasn’t planning on attending the meet with the rain coming in overnight and with the possibility of more in the morning. I figured the turnout wouldn’t be great and it was a chance for me to sleep in. Well, that didn’t happen as I woke up early anyways so I checked out my phone and saw a photo of a few rides out on Market Street already. I hopped out of bed, got ready, and arrived to the shopping center less than 40 minutes as it’s not too far away. As soon as I arrived, I grabbed my camera and proceeded to walk about and snapping photos. The turnout was pretty good considering the weather.
Friends gathering to talk about the rides here or just to catch up, while some brought alone the younger generation to spread their passion and knowledge of these amazing machines. A few of the spectators enjoyed the photo opportunities that were present has they had family and friends snap photos in front of the vehicles. Whatever the reasoning is, if you enjoy admiring and discussing exotic and classics cars you might want to check out this event. Velocita is held on the third Saturday of each month from 8am till 11am on Market Street, see you there!
