For this time around our event coverage is a little different from our normal ones. We have covered a similar event that was combined with a car show, but this one doesn’t have a car show with it. Comicpalooza is Houston’s version of Comic-Con, a convention featuring comic books, webcomics, sci-fi/fantasy, horror, anime, zombies, film, gaming, music and much more!
Unfortunately for me I had a busy weekend planned so my only day I could attend was Friday. So after work I headed to George R Brown Convention Center to join in on the convention madness. I was going to actually dress up for this one but my costume wasn’t complete, maybe next time.
Upon arrive I could see a few people walking around the building in costumes or their favorite comic/game shirt, I couldn’t wait to get inside. There were several people in dressed in costume, some very well made costume I might add. Set up through out the floor were several vendors, artist, and some cosplay models signing autographs and taking pictures. During the timeframe I was able to attend, none of the celebrity were there, so I wasn’t able to meet any. I’m sure most of the fun was to be held during the weekend, but overall I enjoyed my visit, and I can’t wait till for the next one and other similar events!
